Can my 7-year-old take part?

Yes. Seven is the minimum age, and children play as equals — same tables, same prizes. A parent registers the child. Everything else is on the children & young people page.

Do I have to stay as a parent?

For children under 12, yes — an accompanying adult stays on site for the tournament. From 12 it is enough to be reachable by phone. Accompanying adults pay nothing and do not need to register.

Can we enter together with friends?

You register individually and play individually — UNO is not a team game. If you are coming as a group, write it in the “anything we should know?” field and we will try to put you at different tables in the group stage. Playing against each other is more fun.

What happens if I arrive late?

You are placed into the group stage as soon as you arrive; rounds you missed score zero. In the knockout rounds, not being at the table after five minutes means losing that round. Better to drop us a line if you are running late.

I can’t make it after all — what should I do?

Send a short email. The earlier the better: your place then goes to the next person on the waiting list.

The tournament is full. Any chance?

Yes. Registrations then automatically join the waiting list, and in practice places do free up. We get in touch in the order of registration.

What does it cost?

Nothing.

Do I need to be good at UNO?

No. The rules are explained to everybody before the first round, and you can read the tournament rules in advance. That is exactly what they are for.

Does stacking count? Can I put a +4 on a +2?

Stacking yes, +2 on a +4 no. Every contentious question is settled in advance in the tournament rules — precisely so that nobody argues on the night.

Is there food?

Yes, on site. Please tell us about allergies and intolerances when you register.

Can I pay by card?

No — the venue takes cash only. Debit and credit cards are not accepted. The tournament itself is free, but bring cash for cake, coffee and drinks — and give the children some change too.

How do I get there?

Bus 84A stops at “Johann-Kutschera-Gasse”, directly outside the door; it shuttles between the U2 stations Aspernstraße and Seestadt. From U2 Seestadt it is about a ten-minute walk. Everything else, including parking, is on the getting there page.

Is the venue step-free?

Please tell us what you need in the “anything we should know?” field when you register — we will sort it out in advance and come back to you.

Are photos taken?

Yes, but they are only published with express consent, which is asked for separately at registration. Declining changes nothing else.

Can I just come and watch?

Very welcome, and no registration needed. Just turn up.
